The Usambara Mountains of North-Eastern Tanzania in tropical East Africa, comprise the easternmost ranges of the Eastern Arc Mountains. The ranges of approximately 90 kilometres long and about half that wide, are situated in the Lushoto District of the Tanga Region.

1: Situated Between Kilimanjaro & Indian Ocean
Usambara Mountains are situated between Kilimanjaro Mountain and the Indian Ocean region of Tanga. The word Usambara derived from Wasamabaa tribe, the natives of Usambara which means” scattered people” Usambara is categorized into two parts west and East Usambara. West Usambara is well recognized of comprising many higher ranges of the mountains than East Usambara (Fold Mountains and Block mountains) and tropical forests.
2: Located in Lushoto District
West Usambara is located in Lushoto district of Tanga and it is recorded to have so many colonial sites, chef historical villages, all areas around are ever green, for the reason that, they are covered by the Natural forests(untouchable forests such as Magamba nature forest reserve) and Artificial forests(touchable forests). Rural life style excites tourists to learn more traditions and cultures. The weather is cool for hiking, from the end of may to July is colder and makes you feel totally at home as recorded that most of countries Worlwide get colder.

Irente view point, mambo view point and Magumba viewpoint attract tourists on sighting Mount Kilimanjaro.
