This 8-day wildebeest migration tour takes you to the northern region of Tanzania, where you will witness one of the world's greatest natural spectacles—the annual migration of wildebeest across the Serengeti. You will have the opportunity to witness thousands of wildebeest, accompanied by zebras and other animals, as they traverse the vast plains in search of fresh grazing lands. Starting with a 8-day Tanzania wildebeest Migration lodge safari tour, you will be picked up at either Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport and transferred to Mt. Meru Game Lodge & Sanctuary in the outskirts of Arusha city. After settling in, our safari manager will provide a comprehensive briefing on the safari itinerary. Day 1

Pick up from the Airport

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. (Approximate distance: 50km)

Day 2

Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and head to Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a game drive in the park, known for its tree-climbing lions, diverse birdlife, and stunning lake views.

Distance: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Time: Around 2-3 hours

Day 3

Lake Manyara to Serengeti Natioanl Park

Today, you will travel to the renowned Serengeti National Park. Witness the vast grasslands and abundant wildlife as you embark on a game drive through the park. Keep an eye out for the wildebeest herds, which may already be on the move.

Day 4-5

Serengeti National Park

Spend the next two days exploring the Serengeti National Park, following the migration route of the wildebeest herds. Experience close encounters with a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and more.

Day 6

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Leave the Serengeti behind and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a visit to a Maasai village en route and learn about their traditional way of life.

Day 7

Ngorongoro Crater

Today, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This natural caldera is home to a wide range of wildlife, including the Big Five. Enjoy a full day of game driving and marvel at the unique ecosystem.

Day 8

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, depart from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and return to Arusha. You will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure or to your accommodation if you plan to extend your stay.
